This will be decided by the exact white/grey-ish color of the material that the local printing company will use for printing the target insert.  Even though it will not be fully white nor gray, assume that it will look more white than grey in outdoor sunlight.

The rules are on purpose vague on this point since this is one of the items we may change its exact location between test, qualification and finals, but for the test days, it will be 18' +/- 6' from the speed gate (not the starting gate)

It states in the rules Bilbos house will be a few feet away from the starting gate. Could you give me a rough approximation, since we are building a simulated course this distance is important.

Hi All!

we fixed the website description. The orientation will be on Wednesday, June 9th 2010 at 1700 (5 PM) in one of the Founders Inn conference rooms.

Signage with directions will be added before the orientation and the Founders Inn front desk will be able to provide directions if you are looking for that room.

ASV Competition Organizers,

When is the team check-in & orientation? In the final rules (which are no more available for access) it is Jun 9, 2010 and indicated as 'subject to change' but the following link has Jun 10, 2010 as a tentative day for check in and orientation, so I am confused.

A quick reply will be very much appreciated. Thank you for your assistance.

Yes, we went for a Polyform A-1 buoy (the blue one). It is on sale from go2marine (product id: 22171) and many more sellers:http://www.go2marine.com/product.do?no=22156F

Hi Jason!

The ramp we went with is a 36 inches wide, ~12 feet long ramp somewhat similar to that one:http://www.discountramps.com/roll-a-ramp.htm

It will be steep a bit, but we believe that it will be still be much better that having to walk on a floating dock with a boat in our hands like last year.

Was just wondering about some specifications on the boat ramp and its placement. From what i remember last year the slope from the grass to the pond was very abrupt. Any sort of specification would greatly help.

It does refer to the distance between the normal water level (assuming little waves) and the peg holding the ring.

We would like some more info about the ring. The rules say it will be 6"-18" from the water. Does this refer to the distance from the water to the bottom of the ring, or from the water to the peg which holds the ring?
Thanks.
