ABOUT THE AUVSI FOUNDATION

The AUVSI Foundation is a nonprofit, charitable organization that was established to support the educational initiatives of the Association for Unmanned Vehicle Systems International (AUVSI). As a 501(c)(3) organization, the Foundation is able to accept tax-deductible donations from individuals, corporations and other nonprofit organizations.

Whereas AUVSI focuses on the business aspects of the unmanned systems industry, the AUVSI Foundation’s primary objective is to focus on the future of this rapidly growing industry and to develop programs to attract and equip students for a career in the robotics and unmanned systems community.

AUVSI FOUNDATION VISION AND MISSION

Our Vision: Our ultimate goal is a world where human lives are protected by and enhanced by the regular use of robotic technologies.

Our Mission: The mission of the AUVSI Foundation is to provide hands-on robotic activities that will interest and challenge students of all levels, and will entice them to pursue a career in the field of robotics.

If you would like to join with us in this quest, please contact Daryl Davidson, the AUVSI Foundation executive director, at davidson@auvsifoundation.org.

BUT WAIT, THERE'S MORE

In 2009, the AUVSI Foundation awarded nearly $100,000 in prize money through our annual series of student competitions. Nearly 200 teams, representing more than 2,000 students from around the world, participated in these hands-on activities designed to lure students into the field of robotics.
